Chemical Composition (typical values, %)

Heat Treatment

Supplied in a pre-hardened condition.
Can be slightly tempered (max. 550 °C) or nitrided for increased surface hardness.

Machinability and Welding

• Good machinability considering its high strength

• Preheating for welding: 250–300 °C

• Use low-hydrogen electrodes

• Post-weld stress relief at approx. 550 °C recommended
