1.7218 / 25CrMo4
High-strength chromium-molybdenum steel for demanding mechanical components

Steel 1.7218 (25CrMo4) is a low-alloy chromium-molybdenum steel designed for mechanically stressed parts requiring a combination of strength, toughness, and reliable heat treatment response. Thanks to its balanced chemical composition, it offers good hardenability, very good mechanical properties after quenching and tempering, and dependable performance under dynamic loading.

This grade is widely used for components exposed to high mechanical stress, vibration, and repeated loading, where strength and toughness are both essential.

Properties of 1.7218 / 25CrMo4

⚙️ High strength and toughness
Suitable for components subjected to high loads and demanding operating conditions.

🔥 Excellent response to heat treatment
After quenching and tempering, the steel achieves high strength and good overall service performance.
